Newport Beach, Orange County
Located in the infamous Orange County, California, Newport Beach is known for its Balboa Peninsula and Harbor. As if being located in the well known Orange County wasn’t enough, the MTV show Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County, prefabricated the beach favourite as well.
The huge waves are partially due to the improvements prefabricated to the rock jetties on the north side of Newport Harbor during the 1930s. With the right swell and direction, it makes for an exhilarating ride. The waves are unpredictable and only experienced swimmers and surfers should attempt them.The Balboa Peninsula features the Balboa Fun Zone. The Fun Zone has a ferris wheel, Merry-Go-Round, and a few shops and restaurants. It also has arcades and a laser tag. It’s an enjoyable place for the whole family.
It has the Balboa Fun Zone that caters to non-water activity needs. The Fun Zone offers recreational activities such as a merry-go-round, a ferris wheel, arcades, laser tag, some shops, and restaurants. It is the perfect spot for people who choose to not swim but to have fun on dry land instead. As if the Fun Zone wasn’t enough, there is still the Balboa Pavilion. This is Newport’s most famous landmark and it is a recreational center that is located at the waterfront and consists of restaurants, arcades, and fishing.
Another recreational artefact acquirable in Newport is the Newport Aquatic Center. They offer activities like canoeing, kayaking, rowing, and outrigger canoe competitions. Olympic water sport athletes come to Newport to train at the center.
For shopping, Fashion Island is the best place to go. Located by the Newport Harbor, it has over 200 shops you can visit, from Bloomingdale’s to quaint little specialty stores.There are many things to keep you busy in Newport. Whether you are athletic or interested in culture, Newport has something to offer apiece visitor and resident.
