A Budget Way To Take Payments On Your Site.

by Lucas Heijn

The internet today has thousands or millions of shoppers. Payments over the internet have become common place for many people. How can you set up your site so you too can be part of this phenomenon?

With such potential in front of you how can you set up an e commerce web site on your hosting account? Even more important how can you do so on a budget?

It’s not really difficult and very inexpensive for even the beginner to set up a site that can receive payments.

So how do you go about it?

The first requirement would have to be a good web host. I would suggest a cheap host not a free host. I don’t mean cheap and nasty. There are plenty of good deals to be found. The other reason you don’t want to use a free web hosting bourgeois is you don’t want their advertising on your site.

You will also need a payment processor, one that doesn’t cost the earth. Free preferably

To create your web pages you will need some software. I personally use Dreamweaver. There are some very good free programs acquirable on the internet.

Choosing the right web host is not an cushy task. You need to assess the calibre of the hosting statement as well as the value provided. Some of the things you need to look for are:

How many domains can you run on your account? This is important. You will over time produce and promote many products. You will want a new domain study for apiece product. You would not want to have to organize and pay for a new hosting statement apiece time you decided to run with a new product.

Will you be healthy to run CGI scripts as well as PHP? How many databases will you be allowed to use. Most PHP scripts use MySql databases. This is what makes your sites dynamic. These are all questions you need to get answers to in order to decide on a web hosting provider.

You also need a payment processor. There are hundreds of these. I am just going to look at three of them. They are all budget and very affordable. One is totally free to set up.

PayPal is the first of these. You can join PayPal for free and begin receiving payments. Their income comes from the small percentage they take when the understanding is made. Their payment system uses email to pay to. It is wise to set up an email statement just for payments. Your hosting statement should allow you a number of email addresses.

2Checkout.com is another payment processor. They charge a one off fee of $50 to set up your statement and then a small percentage of apiece sale. This processor also is used by many internet marketers.

ClickBank is the last of our payment processors we will look at in this article. ClickBank has a huge list of products that they promote. They are used by most internet marketers who run affiliate programs. You can join ClickBank as an affiliate for free and begin promoting products. If you want to become a seller using ClickBank there is an initial one off fee of about $50.

All of these sites generate a code for you to use on your income page where you want the buy now button. PayPay and 2Checkout.com both wage code you place into the HTML of the page. Clickbank generates a URL you can then link to a button on your page.

As you can see, setting up your own e commerce web site is not real difficult and is very affordable.
